Onyx Room

 

The Onyx Room is a cozy carpeted area catering for up to 35 people equipped with chairs and folding tables, and a shutter/ hatch into the kitchen. This smaller kitchen has a machine for INSTANT BOILING WATER, and a glass washer. There are no cooking facilities with this room hire.

 

Conditions of hire for the Onyx Room

 

Heating can be regulated by the room thermostat near the door

Drinks may be prepared in the bar/kitchen accessed via the shutter and lift-up flap. Hot drinks may be made with the use of the Zip appliance (switch on to warm up) which delivers INSTANT BOILING WATER. If using the glasswasher, the instructions must be carefully followed

A battery powered VAX Vacuum is on the wall in the corner, please vacuum before you leave

There is a toilet adjacent - please ensure it is kept clean. Place paper towels and sanitary items in disposable bags in the bin - do NOT put them in the toilet  

The rear entrance hall light is controlled by a switch just inside the door. There are two external lights to the rear of the premises which will remain on during the hours of darkness

 

Before you leave please make sure :

(1)    All cups, glasses etc are washed and returned to the cupboards in the bar/kitchen

(2)    Empty the bin in the kitchen

(3)    The kitchen/ bar floor is damp mopped

(4)    The kitchen/ bar shutter and flap are closed

(5)    All windows are closed and curtains are left in the open position

(6)    Thermostat is set at 21 degrees

(7)    All lights are switched off

(8)    All doors are locked

(9)    Return key promptly as others may need it straight away

 

 

Cost of hiring Onyx ROom

 

Residents of Lubenham Parish £10 per hour        Non-residents £16 per hour

 

The Main Hall and Onyx Room can be made into one hall with the removal of the folding wall. The cost of hiring both halls 

 

Residents of Lubenham Parish £25 per hour        Non-residents £40 per hour
